well, i worked at the Gap again today....it was my 3rd day so far...........
I love it.... it's so great to get out of the house and do that..... I actually love straightening the clothes three and don't care for it much at home

I've mainly worked on the women's side... I kind of wish it was in toddlers...but that's probably a good thing too.......I keep picking out things I want to get.... I swear some of their bargains are sooo super incredible it's hard not too.....I mean there are a bunch of super cute bras right now for only $6.99 and some super cute flats for only $12.99 ...and then I have my discount of 30% off............ so far I haven't spent a dime, but it's so hard

I was originally scheduled to work on Halloween night.....I asked to switch with someone so I could take Hudson (Cookie Monster) and Griffin (Elmo) trick or treating..................luckily they realized that there were too many people scheduled and now I get to have fun.............. I really want to find my pink beehive wig to go out with them... I haven't worn it in a few years...I think they would love it

****

I'm watching America's Most Smartest Model right now on VH1.... if you haven't seen it yet....you have to.... it is sooooooo very hysterical!

it's been a long day...

I left the house at 9am and didn't get back home until 5:30. The luncheon was from 9:30 - 3:30 and then I ran a few little errands.

oh my!!!!!! the luncheon was fun.....it was for all of the MOMS club chapters in AZ (over 80), more than 50 attended with 250 women...........each chapter was asked to bring one raffle basket......wow! were there ever some super super cool baskets!!!!!! one had a $250 visa gift card, along with gift cards to grocery stores, salons, restaurants, and tons of chocolate goodies.....(the theme was the mother's love is sweeter than chocolate)..........many chapters from outside of Phoenix has weekend getaways....some were valued up $2-3000!!!!!! yep, I said 2-3 thousand..... ours wasn't way that extensive......just wait until next year!!!!!!! we will have one super fantabulous one

anyway, Cathy, our chapter's Pres, won one of the best ones... a weekend getaway someone (lodging in a cabin, restaurant gc, 2 one - hour massages, and one or two more things for that weekend), plus a coffee maker, a fire circle (not a fire pit, just a very cool round metal circle to contain a fire), and tons of chocolate.............it was way heavy for both of us to carry to my car

no prize for me...except for one of those Betty Crocker double molten lava chocolate cake microwave packages for completing a mini treasure hunt

no chuckle today.....

but I do have a fabulous special goodie....feel free to share this with your friends and family.......

"I wish you enough"
Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure.

Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, 'I love you, and I wish you enough.'

The daughter replied, 'Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom.'

They kissed and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

'Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'.

'I am old, and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral,' she said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?'

She began to smile. 'That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.' She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more. 'When we said , 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough goo d things to sustain them.' Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

She then began to cry and walked away.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them; but then an entire life to forget them.

my new habit

I am seriously going to try to blog every day now. Aren't you impressed? It really will be so much easier if I just have snippets each day instead of huge long lengthy things once a week or so.

********

so, guess what I had to do yesterday? ya know the boys spent the night at their grandma's house on thursday night..... well, usually i drive them one direction and she drives the opposite direction..that means that she should've brought them home yesterday......well, I forgot to leave her a 2nd carseat (she has one already)........sooooo, I had to drive back out to pick them up (rush hour drive time and chit chat amount to almost 2 hours).....so much for my nice relaxing afternoon

********

last night I tried to scrap.....oh my.....I haven't scrapped in so long...I just can't make any decisions on how to do my first page in ages....I've picked out this picture of all three of my guys....but I have scrapper's block after this
hopefully something will come to me late tonight

************

oh! guess what? I'm going back to work....part-time seasonal retail with a nice discount work.... I was just hired yesterday at The Gap...... yay! it's for nights and weekends and not sure how many hours......it'll be nice to get out of the house and not have to cook dinner......and get discounts for Gap Kids

it's also so nice because it's in a boutique shopping strip (no mall and mall parking - woo-hoo!)... and it's a combo baby, kids, women, and body store)

************

ok...... today I'll be out all day long attending my MOMS Club annual luncheon.....it's FIVE hours long... I can't believe what will take so long....I haven't seen an agenda, but I know we have lunch and a slideshow....and TONS of raffle baskets....hopefully I will win at least one...every chapter brings one to raffle off and I've heard that there have been some super huge prizes in the past (including Southwest Airlines tickets)

wish me loads of luck! :)

************

now.... time to share my funny bad day from yesterday with you.....

my dh decided to work from home yesterday because he had a headache.... ok, fine...no biggie, right?????? HA!!!!!! Guess what I forgot?????? It was his birthday!!!!!! oooooops! It finally dawned on me when I left to pick up Hudson from preschool. uh-ho! he called me shortly after I picked up Hudson and asked if I knew what today was, I told him happy birthday then & told him he spoiled the big surprise I was going to do later (something I still needed to figure out..which I ended up not doing)...........I dropped Hudson and Griffin off at my MIL's to spend the night. She had asked a few days ago if they could since her dh was going to be out of town. She told me yesterday that she offered so that we could also go out to eat.......for his birthday dinner! ....... HELLO! I told her she should have clued me in to that earlier since I totally forgot about it. Griffin turned 2 five days earlier, so that is the only birthday I was only thinking about. We ended up staying home and enjoyed colossal king crab legs and baked potatoes.....and then he pouted and went to sleep early. MEN! Instead of 41, he acted like he was 4. It was kind of funny.

but....besides that.............. I received a phone call when I was at the grocery store in the early evening from ADT Security.... my friend's burglar alarm went off & I'm the contact for it.....talk about a mini panic......her house/dog sitter accidently set off the alarm ...... OOPS!

then...... at home..... I was rearranging some beer bottles in the fridge (making room for some groceries) and I dropped one..SPLAT! ...it's a good thing we have tile in there
