if only life was so simple...

my almost 5 year old decided to cut out hearts for his dad and me a couple nights ago....
I drew them and he cut them out.....
he then instructed both of us to keep them on our nightstands so we could have them close to us....
and also told me that if I feel like I'm going to get mad about anything, to look at the heart and it will keep me happy forever

isn't that just the sweetest thing ever? I just wish it could magically work like that all the time ...
maybe it will put a magic spell on my husband and he won't be a grouch as often as usual...
if only life was so simple

I Heart Faces: Week 9: Photo Challenge - “Hilarious Outtakes”

I took this picture this morning, before I even saw the challenge at I Heart Faces.  You just have to love an outtakes challenge.  It's Spring Picture day at school and I wanted a cute picture of them before they went into school.  Griffin had to be his usual goofy self by showing me his funny mean face instead of a happy grin.

Last Fall Griffin decided to paint his toenails.  I really don't recall where I was at that moment, but I did grab my camera as we were trying to get the wet polish off his toes.
